Each Midas is independently owned and operated. We are unable to accept discount coupons for oil changes because we only use Valvoline products; shops that accept the coupons use generic products. Moreover as indicated by our reviews we do not try to upsell customers on work they do not need; this is the typical business model of shops offering heavily discounted oil changes. Moreover, shops that accept oil change coupons typically have long wait times and we do not want our loyal customers sitting here for 3 hours - most folks prefer to get in and out quickly. We have no way of validating if you are even a customer or not. Nevertheless, our pricing is in line with industry standards and we aim to use OEM quality parts. We warranty our parts and labor for 12 months or 12,000 miles which exceeds the warranty of most dealers and competitor shops in the area. We are proud of the fact that we have over 500+ reviews, virtually all positive and many validating our fair pricing and outstanding service. Lastly, if you did have work at our shop then you were absolutely presented with an estimate in advance of any work being performed. If you felt the cost was excessive then certainly you were welcome to shop around and get a price that met with your needs - I wouldn't blame any customer for doing their due diligence as I too do it as a consumer.

Chad, we have no record of you ever actually coming into our shop. I do not know what work we quoted that you claim is "expensive" as you do not say. But in any event, we try not to give quotes over the phone (for obvious reasons). However, some people, like you apparently, insist upon receiving one and so we err on the side of caution and give high numbers; we do not want to get accused of not honoring a low price. It is important to remember that a quote on the phone is nothing more than a "guess" as modern vehicles are complicated machines that require expert diagnosis and that can only be performed in person. There is no doubt we are not the cheapest in town, but I am confident that we do not sell our customers anything they do not genuinely need and we stand behind our work (12 month/12,000 warranty on all parts and labor with lifetime warranty on brakes, exhaust and shocks/struts). If you felt we were rude on the phone then I apologize but could it be you were just upset that the cost was more than you expected and this upset you?
